mo·ron ('mOr-"än, 'mor-), n

  1. a mentally retarded person who has a potential mental age of between 8 and 12 years and is capable of doing routine work under supervision
  2. a very stupid person
from Merriam Webster's Collegiate Dictionary

You might be wondering what it is that gets a person classified as a moron for purposes of this site. Here are some basic principles that are often exhibited by morons:

  1. Hypocrisy and Contradiction: the moron says one thing and either behaves contrary himself, or contradicts himself with his own words. For example, a moron might say, "we should kill intolerant people!"
  2. Inconsistency: the moron applies different rules and/or has different expectations of things for no apparent reason.
  3. Insistent Ignorance: the moron is not only ignorant of widely-accepted fact, but also refuses to be educated.
  4. Aversion to Questioning: morons often aren't interested in asking questions and aren't curious about the world around them.
  5. Inability to Reason: even when presented with the simplest of inference chains with each step clearly explained, the moron cannot thread concepts. Worse yet, morons often thread together concepts incorrectly and arrive at invalid conclusions. Morons' arguments are strewn with logical fallacies.
  6. Failure to apply common sense: even where no complex reasoning is required, morons still fall down.
  7. Herd/Mob Mentality: morons are most moronic in groups.
  8. Appeal to Force: morons often want to force you to accept their own warped reality. For example, moronic fundamentalist Christians often want to force Christianity and their own questionable moral standard upon people.
  9. Hostility: when you deconstruct a moron's raving carefully, they get quite irate.
  10. Propagation of Stupidity and Dishonesty: morons beget morons by spreading misinformation as truth.

Most morons probably don't possess all of these characteristics, but most of them will possess at least 3 or 4 of them.
